El Jabalí (Acceso Los Triángulos)
El Jabalí is a riverside access point on Aquismón's water network — the Los Triángulos entrance to a stretch of blue pools and small cascades that locals swim while the tour crowds queue at Puente de Dios a few kilometers away. Nothing is built here beyond the essentials: a community gate, the trail down, and water of the deep-jade kind the municipality is famous for. It works best as the quiet complement on an Aquismón day — Golondrinas at dawn, Huahuas at ten, and El Jabalí for the swim nobody photographs.

Getting there without a car
Off the Aquismón backroads toward the Triángulos area — reachable by car on dry-season dirt roads, or rural taxi from Aquismón town with a set pickup. Open 8 am–6 pm; the community collects a modest fee at the entrance.

Water shoes, a dry bag, your own food and water — nothing sells here — cash for the fee, and offline maps: signage on the backroads is sparse. Follow the staff's marked swim areas; the river's calm pools hide the currents.

Dirt access turns slick and the river rises fast in the rains — the community closes swimming when the water turns. Dry season is the reliable window: firm roads, transparent pools.
